I have devoted my life to dancing, which is my pride and passion. I live and work on the Sunshine Coast, teaching those who want to learn Latin dance. Most of my students come from Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Coolum, Noosa, Nambour, Buderim and Brisbane. I specialise in teaching LA Salsa, Cuban Rueda, Bachata and other forms of Latin Dance.
I started out just like any other beginner out there. My first experience with Latin dance was in 2006 when I enrolled in a beginner’s Cuban salsa class, to meet new people. After completing the beginner’s, I wanted to learn more and so I continued learning Cuban Salsa and went on to complete improvers, intermediate and finally, advanced Cuban Salsa.
Whilst I was dancing socially, I found out that most salsa dancers preferred a different style called LA Salsa. So I started attending a beginner’s workshop in LA Salsa and as my training progressed I quickly became proficient with LA Salsa going onto complete advance LA Salsa.
I was just dancing salsa for fun and it was never in my wildest dreams to perform the dance before a large crowd. Somehow my friends managed to get me to do it and I would like to thank them because that moment led to some of the best experiences of my life. Through my dancing career, I have met wonderful people and world-class performers. I learned from the best Latin dance teachers from across the globe. I’ve had the privilege to dance with the top salsa schools in New Zealand such as Viva Latino, Salsa Con Coco, and Urban Salsa.
By offering Latin dance classes and workshops, I will be able to pass on what I have been taught throughout the years. It is my dream to help inspire and encourage the Sunshine Coast Salsa and Latin Dance Community building the next generation of Latin dancers. My goal is to enable people to reach their full potential as a dancer and enjoy the benefits of Salsa, Bachata and Merengue.
At present, I offer classes in LA Salsa, Bachata, Cuban Salsa, and Merengue. I teach beginners and intermediate levels. Sunny Coast Salsa also host events at various locations on the Sunshine Coast. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you need to know more about schedules of our workshops and classes on the Sunny Coast. Check out the other pages of the website to learn more about what we do.
